In November and December 2023, Noosa Sportfishing Lodge will be running a mothershipping program around the world famous, Fraser Island. Our mothership will be the newly refitted 63ft “Australiana” from its home port of Yeppoon. We will be anchored as close as possible to the famous light tackle marlin grounds of “Rooney’s Point”. From here we have access to the NE side of the island which is the most untouched fishing area SE Queensland has hands down.
This time of year, the weather patterns very nicely. Light to no wind in the mornings, NE breeze slowly building in the afternoons with blue skies and temperatures between 25-30 degrees Celsius. Target species will be Marlin, Red Emperor, Coral trout, Nannygai, Trevally, Jobfish, various pelagics and many, many more. An operation of this scale has not yet been done before in this area and we hope you will join us for the adventure of a lifetime. Each guest will have their own private cabin, a spacious saloon area to dine in and daily magical sunsets over the picturesque Hervey Bay.
